PhDate2020

Europe/Berlin
Description

Welcome!

This online event brings together all Ph.D. students affiliated with the Fritz-Haber-Institute (FHI) and its International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS), and the IMPRS alumni to share their recent work and findings, learn more about possible career paths within and outside academia, and above all to network and socialize.

PhDate2020 combines the IMPRS Sunset Symposium originally scheduled for March with the new biannual FHI PhD Day, and is co-organized by the IMPRS and the PhDnet. We want to celebrate 18 successful years of the now conluding IMPRS and enhance interaction between Ph.D. students.

For this purpose, we will be using dedicated online tools to help facilitate scientific and non-scientific exchange between participants. Details on these tools will be provided here in due time.

We hope that bringing together the IMPRS and PhDNet groups will lead to informative, productive, open, and fun discussions about science and all that matters around it.

All Ph.D. students at the FHI and from the IMPRS university groups, as well as all involved PIs and all IMPRS alumni are warmly invited to participate. We also welcome other FHI members to join the event. Please register until Jul 31st using this link.

Poster presenters are requested (and will be reminded) to provide a PDF version of their poster until Aug 15th.

Please do not hesitate to contact Alex Paarmann (IMPRS) or Ivana Lapsanska (PhDnet) if you have any questions.

Looking forward to seeing you at PhDate2020!
