Berlin has become the place where technology companies and start-ups flourish — a hub where physicists, chemists, and software engineers join forces to create groundbreaking technologies and career paths they never imagined. In the heart of Friedrichshain, one of the city’s vibrant neighborhoods, a new company is achieving significant milestones in the medical field. The company DiaMonTech is dedicated to revolutionize the daily life for millions of people with diabetes and other metabolic diseases with innovative diagnostic technology.
The Physical Society of Berlin invites you to visit DiaMonTech AG, a trailblazer in developing non-invasive technology for measuring blood glucose levels, a development that promises to transform healthcare and pave the way for more personalized medical solutions. Non-invasive glucose monitoring can improve the lives of the 500 million people worldwide living with diabetes by eliminating painful finger pricks, enabling continuous and effortless tracking of blood sugar levels, and ultimately improving quality of life and long-term health outcomes.
The underlying photothermal technology to measure glucose values non-invasively is patented and has received multiple awards, including the Health-i Award from Handelsblatt and Techniker Krankenkasse, as well as the Deep Tech Award from the Berlin Senate.
This visit will open the doors to their labs and ideas, and the event will showcase the company’s mission, research, and applications, giving physicists insight into how cutting-edge physics is being translated into real-world medical solutions and in particular how physics is powering medical innovation right here in Berlin.
