13th THz Young Scientists Meeting

Europe/Berlin
Freie Universität Berlin Department of Physics Arnimallee 14 14195 Berlin Germany
Alkisti Vaitsi, Bruno Rosinus Serrano, Dorothee Mader
Description

The growing applications of THz science draw new researchers into the field every year. The annual THz Young Scientists Meeting aims to provide a friendly and welcoming international platform for young scientists to exchange ideas and learn about the advances in fundamental and applied THz research. The meeting consists of short talks and posters, together with social networking events.

This year the THz Young Scientists Meeting is organized in direct proximity to the European Microwave Week (EuMW 2023). We want to motivate you to join both events and grasp the opportunity to get in touch with fellow scientists from the microwave community. For those staying longer in Berlin, a joint event is planned for 16.09.2023.

For Whom?
We are happy to invite all master's and PhD students who work on THz-related research. You can contribute with a talk or a poster, depending on how you feel more comfortable presenting your work. If you have just started your PhD, we encourage you to participate in the meeting with a perspective poster on your new project without the need to present results.

By Whom?
This year the THz Young Scientists Meeting is organized by the Free University of Berlin and the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society.

When and Where?
The meeting takes place from September 14th to September 15th, 2023, in the facilities of the Free University of Berlin

As part of the Dahlem campus, the university is located in the southwest of Berlin between the forest of Grunewald and Lichterfelde West. Dahlem is characterized by its mansions, avenues of trees, and green parks. In this regard, the program of our meeting includes a historical tour of the Dahlem campus, drawing a vivid picture of the scientific-campus life now and then.

Abstract Submission
To join, create an account and submit your abstract by July 31st, 2023. Please follow the instructions on the abstract template file that you can find attached at the bottom of the page.
