Our aim is to engage in discussions about research-data handling in general and about the peculiarities of biophysics data. Experimental data are only meaningful when methods, machinery, sample, measurement conditions, and measured quantities are known. Likewise, computational data is only worth keeping if all aspects of the underlying simulation are recorded in detail as well. To create and provide data according to the FAIR principles (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable), we need extensive annotation, i.e., a systematic metadata catalogue. Such data structures can only be developed in a community effort. Specific topics of this workshop can be:
We will have short stimulating talks that motivate research data management (RDM), discuss meta data structures, and exemplify biophysics aspects in RDM. Confirmed speakers are:

We will use the video conference service BlueJeans for the workshop. Some information can be found here. When first starting a BlueJeans Meeting, the BlueJeans App will ask to be installed. If for any reason you can't install the app, you can also join by just using a browser.
During the meeting, we will be using up to three meeting rooms:
We will write a meeting report. Please follow this link to a joint document for taking notes.
